E-Bikes, E-Cycles, and Kids
Many times a week, neighbors have seen kids on motorized cycles riding in excess of posted speed limits, jumping speed bumps, riding in the middle of streets, and coasting on only 1 wheel through the neighborhood. It is dangerous for all involved: riders, drivers, and even pedestrians. PARENTS, please do not allow your kids to break Fairview laws, tell them to use caution and be courteous, and monitor what they are doing. Fairview police are aware of the issue, which has met with tragic results in other communities.

Need HOA Director/President Candidates:
The HOA is seeking candidates for a director position that could then be elected as president when the new term starts in September 2026. If we do not get a volunteer, we will be faced with hiring a management company, precipitating a dramatic increase in the annual dues, less personal oversight, and the loss of our friendly neighborhood HOA feel. All interested parties, please reach out to hoa@myoakwoodhoa.com for
information on how to volunteer.

Seeking ACC Candidates:
The Oakwood HOA is seeking candidates to join the Architectural Control Committee (ACC). This is a key role that reviews all home projects, renovations, changes, etc. to ensure that the work meets current HOA covenants. We need 1-2 more people to join the committee. Please contact hoa@myoakwoodhoa.com if interested in learning more or volunteering right away.

No Trailers, RVs, Boats, or Non-Functioning Vehicles in Plain View:
Please remember our 2018 Amended and Restrictive Covenants, stipulate in section 10 D and E: …. campers, trailers, recreational vehicles, and boats must be parked in a garage or otherwise permanently screened from the street and adjacent property by climbing roses, hedges, or other evergreen shrubbery, with the exception that campers, trailers, recreational vehicles, and boats may be temporarily kept in plain view for no more than three (3) consecutive days. Notices of violation will be sent within the next few weeks for those who have had such vehicles or trailers visible in driveways more than 3 days.
